When you start up a business, it can be hard to know where to start with accounts and invoicing. Remember to keep them simple, and ensure they are in a format clients should open.

When should I start invoicing?

The answer to this is, straight away. As soon as you sell your first product, create an invoice. Although at first you may not envisage making enough to put you over tax thresholds, you will, one day, need to go back through your accounts, so keeping records from the offset is imperative. Even small transactions need to be invoiced, and this will make your accounts easier in the long run.
